Teahouse Discussion:  Kitty Party

Artist Jasmeen Patheja led a women only discussion in the galleries, providing an insight into her work in the exhibition and issues facing women in both India and the UK. The term Kitty Party refers to the convention in India of a group of woman who meet and collect a kitty for their next party.This talk is part of the ATM08 Teahouse Discussion series.

This private discussion was reported positively from the women who attended.  They relished the opportunity to discuss issues, that they did not usually have the opportunity to address, within a 'safe' and empowering environment.
